Function

To be responsible for organizing and implementing activities including researching, training, providing services for insecticide, cultivating and preserving of experimental animals.

Tasks

- Conduct research on disease and vector control, including parasitic disease, insect-borne disease, neglected tropical diseases, and others.

- Evaluation and testing of insecticide products using in vector control.

- Provide training courses on knowledge and skills of malaria, dengue fever, medical arthropods, helminthes disease prevention, on the techniques of selecting an appropriate insecticide, and on the cultivation techniques of several experimental animals.

- Counsel, survey and provide services for insecticides that affect the social life such as mosquitoes, flies, ants, cockroaches, termites, rodents, fleas, bed bugs, lice, and others.

- Supply experimental animals for scientific research, testing and training.
