DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING

Function

The department is responsible for management and implementation of activities relating to making the diseases prevention and control plans in South Vietnam under the legal regulations and real situations.

Specific duties

- Assist the Director in planning and implementing professional work at the regional level; develop a Master Plan for Disease Prevention and Control in the area to be submitted to the Ministry of Health for approval.

- Receive, record and analyze disease data from local levels to develop monthly, quarterly and yearly plans to submit them to the MOH.

- Provide guidance and guidelines for the Provincial Preventive Medicine Centers for making plans for disease control activities implementation.

- Organize, follow- up, supervise for speeding up, check, and promote the effectiveness of implementing plans of the Institute and making report to the Director for consideration and direction.

- Perform management of medicines, insecticides, equipment for anti-malarial and other diseases in the region including purchase, receipt, preservation, allocation, and evaluation of using medicines, insecticides, and equipment in the region.
