DEPARTMENT OF ORGANIZATION, ADMINISTRATION AND GOVERNANCE

1. Functions and Responsibilities

- Provides advice on the design and building the organizational structure, human resource planning, recruitment, and staff management.

- Responsible for staff compensation, benefits and salary payment.

- Responsible for other administrative functions such as clerical duties, archiving, communication; workplace health and safety including fire and explosion prevention and self-defence; and responses to natural disasters.

- Responsible for internal corporate affairs protection, auditing, employee participation and rewards, adherence to code of conducts, reception, and conferences, meetings and workshops.

- Responsible for building and management of office and facilities, warehouses, garages, yards and other infrastructure of the institute includes electricity, water supply, mean of transportation, equipment and supplies, and cleaning etc.

- Provides advice and be responsible for planning, maintenance, renovation, and upgrading offices including major and minor repairing

- The total staff of department is 18 (including 6 with Bachelor level and above, and 12 others)

2. Development History

The Department of Organization, Administration and Governance, formerly known as the Department of Administration and Governance, was established in 1977. Later, it was renamed as the Department of Organization, Administration and Governance in 2004; the Department of Organization and Administration in 2010, and finally as the Department of Organization, Administration and Governance in 2017.

During the establishment and development of the National Institute of Malariology - Parasitology - Entomology Ho Chi Minh City the past 35 years, the Department of Organization, Administration and Governance has fulfilled a range of assigned functionalities and responsibilities in relation to human resources, policies implementation, internal corporate affairs protection, administrative functions, and facility planning and management.

3. Achievements

With significant efforts of the Department’s collective employees, the Department of Organization, Administration and Governance has been recognised and awarded as the Excellence Team in many consecutive years and being honoured to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Health since 2001.

The Department’s individuals who have achieved excellent and great service performance in the past years include:

  • 01 individual was awarded the Feat Order 2nd grade.
  • 02 individuals were awarded the Feat Order 3rd grade.
  • 01 individual was awarded the title of People's Doctor
  • 01 individual was awarded the title of the National Emulation Soldier
  • 07 individuals were awarded the Medal for Citizen’s Health
  • 02 individuals were awarded the Medal for the Trade Union commitments
  • Many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Health and other levels.
